Simplify your life.
Let Hans On put the little things in order
so you can focus on the big things.
Hans On Organizing Storage Space:
Put loose items in containers with like items – make sure to label the container!

Group items by category/holiday and store in one location.

Label containers and boxes on the side and the top to prevent searching through
everything.

When you come upon an item that you haven’t used in over a year, set it aside to be
sold at a rummage sale or to be donated to charity. The less you have, the less you
have to take care of.

When you come upon items that you can’t decide whether to keep or toss, put all the
items together in a box, tape it up, put a recycle by date on the box and store it until
that date. If you haven’t opened the box by the recycle date, do not open it recycle it
immediately!

When you come upon items that you don’t use, but can’t part with, place them in out
of the way areas so you can access the things you use with ease.

Instead of tucking away a flat topped trunk or hope chest, consider it’s multipurpose
use as a coffee table to store blankets or toys in.

Don’t overlook the obvious, use furniture with drawers and suitcases for storage.

Don't let magazines over-whelm you and pile up. Tear out the articles you want to
read, but haven’t had the time, or you want to save for future reference, and recycle
the rest of the magazine. File the articles in folders by subject for future reference.

Look through your bookcases and give away books you've had for years and will
never look at again.

Donate or toss old software disks, CDs, computer manuals, for computer programs
you no longer use and never will again.

Arrange CDs by artist alphabetically. You may want to store each genre together.

Basement Storage: Keep things off of the floor and on shelves to prevent potential
moisture damage.
